Landowners benefit with up to 70% of eligible costs associated with installing best management practices (BMPs) to be covered. Technical assistance with installation and implementation is provided with BMPs. |
Description |
Each County Conservation Department or town governments may apply for grants for specific best management projects and have a 2 year implementation time frame. |
Practices |
Barnyard runoff control, detention ponds, manure storage, streambank protection projects, and wetland construction |
Costs to Landowner |
Landowner covers at minimum 30% of the cost to install best management practices |
Eligibility |
The project must be a high priority at the county or town level. |
