Landowner Benefits

Landowners can implement no-till into their farm plan without needing to buy new equipment. This program offers affordable access to conservation tillage equipment. No-till is the process of growing crops without disturbing the soil.

Description

The No-till drill program offers affordable access to conservation tillage equipment through the Tuscola Conservation District. The district has one (1) 15ft no-till drill, two (2) 30ft no till drills with a tractor, and one (1) 10ft native grass seeder.

No-till wheat, soybeans, corn, and grasses

Costs to Landowner

The landowner pays for the rental of the equipment. Rental costs are as follows:

  • 15 foot drill is $10.00/ acre

  • 30 foot drill is $14.00/ acre

  • 10 foot drill is $6.00/ acre
