This website provides a quick reference to federal conservation programs available. While financial assistance to plan and implement practices on private lands is never guaranteed, the federal government does offer some incentive programs. The programs vary in eligibility requirements and the specific types of practices encouraged. The agency listed as administering the program is the best source for current information on a program. For the landowner who has patience, these programs are often very helpful in getting the technical and financial assistance needed to get started.
